"Irma, I understand your frustration. Rest assured, we're on your side. To paint a better picture for you, we're at the mercy of the changes sent in queue to the regional office and their turnaround times. Customers often do this as it happens more often than we'd like it to which is why I always tell my clients to make sure that they have the additional interest information PRIOR to having their policy written. Too many people jump the gun with obtaining renter's insurance for themselves online not knowing what it all entails and end up going through what you went through, none of it which was my office's fault. When an additional interest request isn't submitted at the time of application, then we have to wait for the regional office to issue the policy to then go in and add the interest party after issuance. I agree, it is time consuming, which is why it's always best to have your ducks in a row at the time of application. I wish you had a better experience, and I wish you nothing but the best in the future. Moving forward, I hope you learned something from this experience to ensure you have all the information that's needed at the time of initial application before procuring renter's insurance with another carrier in the future.
